James L. Marsden (not to be confused with actor James Marsden) is a professor of history at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He specializes in modern European and global history, including the history of fascism and genocide. He has published numerous articles and books on these topics, including "The Holocaust in Hungary: Evolution of a Genocide", "The Ambiguities of Neutrality: The Dutch and the Jews during the Second World War", and "Beyond the Boundaries of Bourgeois Europe: France, Belgium, and Switzerland since 1914". Marsden has also served as a visiting fellow at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and as a lecturer at universities in the United States and Europe.
